| There is no need to melt any hole! Simply remove the three screws that hold on the side panel and then using a couple of knives or a pair of pliers gentle ease out the plug which will give access to the toner bay. Empty out the contents of the empty toner cartridge into a plastic bag (as it will contain waste toner which needs to be thrown away and then pour in the new powder). You will then need to replace the reset chip which is easily visible on the bottom edge of the toner cartridge. Remember that starter cartridges which comes free with the printer don't have a chip (they work mechanically instead) however once you've replaced the electronic chip with a new one you can replace the toner cartridge and continue to print for another 2,000 pages! |
