| Remove the empty toner cartridge from the machine, take off the right hand side panel using a screwdriver, which gives access to a small circular plug that needs to be gently eased out (using two knives is best) - throw away all the toner and waste toner than remains inside the machine (tap out the contents into a plastic bag which can then be throw away) - pour in the new toner powder and replace the plug. Now you need to unclip the electronic chip which is housed on the same end panel and replace the exhausted chip with the new one. You can then replace the end panel and return the toner cartridge to the machine. In the event that the chip isn't recognised then it means you need to update the Samsung firmware which we will happily email to you if necessary however if your computer is up to date with the latest Samsung printer updates then the printer will recognise the toner as being a new one and continue to print as normal! |
